How to play the drum audio remotely
A month or so before the dance, the audio of the Dance Drum is made available for satellite participants. There are two ways to get to the page with the audio. In the main menu under Dance, select the Dance Drum link. There is also an Access the Dance Drum Audio link on the home page in the section for remote dance participants. The page will remain available until Sunday night.
Before the dance starts, you will see a dance count down displayed along with audio players for the three parts of the dance. Below that is a "Download Drum Audio Files" button.
Options for playing the audio during the dance.
If you have an internet connection: You can play the audio from the Dance Drum web page using your computer or mobile device. Once you click on a player to start playing, the "Sync to schedule" button is enabled. If you want your audio to jump to the place in sync with the schedule, click that button. You can still stop, jump back, or jump ahead if so desired.
If you do not have an internet connection on your dance site, you will need to download the audio files and then play them on an mp3 player of your choosing. Please do not share these files outside of the community. The singers have only give permission to use these songs for ceremony and drum practice.
